The Traitors: Watch trailer for new reality competition series with Claudia Winkleman

Claudia Winkleman and her new competition show The Traitors is coming soon and we couldn't be more intrigued. Based in the Scottish Highlands, 22 hopefuls will play 'the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust' in the hope of winning up to £120,000.

Built on strategy and suspicion, hopeful players will compete in a series of missions to win big. Based on a Dutch show, De Verraders, Strictly host Winkleman will oversee the players who will battle it out to win the prize money, but first of all they need to survive until the end.

A handful of players will be selected as 'The Traitors', while the others will be unaware that they are the enemy.

But will the 'Faithfuls' get bluffed by the chosen ‘Traitors’ who are secretly plotting to decide who to eliminate from the players? And who will be 'murdered' or 'banished'?

'The Traitors' must stay undetected until the end of the game and 'The Faithfuls' have to work out who are the baddies and vote them out.

If any 'Traitors' make it to the end without having their disguise blown, they get to pinch the prize money for themselves. Promising twists, turns and shocks, the game of trust and treachery looks to be an entertainingly brutal one.
