I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 has been on our screens for over two weeks, which means we’ve had to start saying goodbye to some of our favourite campmates.

After rounds of truly disgusting Bushtucker trials and being covered in creepy crawlies, it was time for the voting public to choose who they wanted to save, and unfortunately for two stars, their I’m A Celeb journey came to an end over the weekend.

On Saturday (19th November), Loose Women’s Charlene White became the first of the 2022 cohort to leave the camp after 14 days Down Under.

Joining hosts Ant and Dec after crossing the infamous rope bridge, the broadcaster described her time in the jungle as “emotional.”

She added: “It’s been a journey, and I absolutely loved living with those guys, they’re brilliant. I think everyone one of us just had fun and we laughed so much, it was great.”

Charlene’s time in the jungle was somewhat rocked after the late arrival of former health secretary Matt Hancock, and the journalist admitted her struggle to “remain impartial.”

She continued: “I may well be in the jungle, but journalism is still my first job so I wanted to ask the questions that I thought people on the outside would want me to ask.

“It was hard, it was really hard because I think everyone had their feelings about Matt when he first walked in, but we also have to live alongside him, so we all have to adapt to that.”

Just behind Charlene was telly presenter Scarlette Douglas, who packed up her hammock on Sunday (20th November).

Scarlette admitted to Ant and Dec that she felt her journey in the jungle wasn’t yet over, telling them: “I'm absolutely gutted, I'm not even going to lie about it. I know that some people wanted to leave and I was like ‘I'm not ready to go yet’.

“I wanted to stay for as long as possible because those people are amazing and the jungle is incredible.”

We’ve still got a few weeks to go before someone is crowned King or Queen of the jungle, and those who remain fighting against the Australian elements are:

  • Boy George

  • Sue Cleaver

  • Owen Warner

  • Mike Tindall

  • Chris Moyles

  • Jill Scott MBE

  • Babatúndé Aléshé

  • Seann Walsh

  • Matt Hancock

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues nightly on ITV1 and ITVHub.
