BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed when fans can tune into the quarter-finals this weekend as the World Cup continues to cause havoc with the TV schedules.
We already knew the football tournament would result in some of Strictly being moved around, as the international competition gets underway in Qatar.
Now, the bosses at Strictly have confirmed that their quarter-finals will be held earlier than usual, taking place on Friday 2nd December at 8pm, with the results show airing on Saturday 3rd December at 5:40pm.
Not only that, but get ready to mark a new date on the calendar for the semi-finals too, as the BBC confirmed that the Week 12 show will be going ahead but on Sunday 11th December at 7:15pm, with the results show taking place on Monday 12th December at 8:15pm.
There is still no word on whether the glittering Strictly Come Dancing finale will be affected, but it’s likely the final show of 2022 will still take place on Saturday 17th December at a time yet to be announced.
While we await news on when we should see the 2022 winner lift up the glitterball trophy, we were forced to say goodbye to yet another celebrity dancer, and this week it was comedian Ellie Taylor.
On Saturday (26th November), there was no specific theme, and Kym Marsh and her professional partner Graziano were forced to sit out due to a positive Covid result, meaning only six couples took to the dancefloor.
And it was Ellie with pro-dancer Johannes Radebe who ended up in the dance-off against Fleur East and her dance partner Vito Coppola, after both pairs received the fewest amount of votes.
Ellie and Johannes performed a Jive to Van Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl, and Fleur and Vito did the Rumba to Too Lost In by You Sugababes.
When the two pairs performed again, the judges all decided to save Fleur and Vito, meaning the contest is now over for Ellie and Johannes.
Strictly Come Dancing’s quarter-finals will take place on Friday 2nd December at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
