Predators: Tom Hardy's upcoming TV series drops new trailer

Tom Hardy has a new TV project coming soon, and it’s a bit of a departure from his Peaky Blinders days.

Yes, his new show is more David Attenborough than Alfie Solomons, as the actor will narrate a Sky Nature documentary series called Predators.

Predators Narrated By Tom Hardy will have five episodes, each focusing on a specific predator in one part of the world, in ever-shifting landscapes. Polar bears in Canada, pumas in Chile, lions in Botswana, wild dogs in Zimbabwe and cheetahs in Tanzania will have to overcome new challenges and grasp new opportunities as they fight to protect their kingdoms.

The synopsis says: “These five fascinating creatures are hunters, parents, and survivors alike, embarking on a series of treacherous journeys in the wild. Their stories all point to a critical moment in their lives, as they fight to secure the future for their next generation in this thrilling quest for survival.”

Sky’s Director of Documentaries and Factual, Poppy Dixon, previously said: “This series celebrates some of the most exhilarating and impressive animals on earth, whilst recognising the impact of climate change on their lives and habitats. 

“To bring Predators to life with one of the UK’s most gifted and reputable talents, who has a passion for environmental causes, is a great pleasure.”

Tom is no stranger to a voiceover, as he has previously provided narration for All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur for Amazon, and also Channel 4’s Falklands War: The Untold Story. 

This new series is set to land on Sky on 11th December.

In other nature show news, Strictly Come Dancing star Hamza Yassin is reportedly in line to get his own TV nature show, having impressed BBC bosses during his continuing stint on the hit entertainment show.

Meanwhile, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has spoken about how the series could return with “possible new stories”.

Predators narrated by Tom Hardy is coming to Sky Nature and NOW from 11th December.
