Rag ‘n’ Bone Man is set to bring some festive cheer to EastEnders.

The Walford residents will get quite a surprise when the Human hitmaker arrives, set to deliver a special performance in Albert Square.

According to the BBC, Rag’n’Bone Man’s appearance comes after Rocky (Brian Conley) persuades the musician to perform at the carol concert fundraiser as a wedding gift to Janine (Charlie Brooks) and Mick (Danny Dyer).

In a statement on his starring role, Rag’n’Bone Man, whose real name is Rory Charles Graham, said: “In the words of Gabrielle “dreams can come true” Thanks to everyone at EastEnders for one of the best days of my life!!”

Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer, added: “We have always known Rag‘n’Bone man is a huge EastEnders fan, so when an opportunity came up in one of our stories it was the perfect moment for us to ask him to not only appear, but also perform in Albert Square.

“We are all thrilled that he said yes, and we hope the audience enjoy the special Christmas treat, as much as much as everyone at EastEnders enjoyed having Rag‘n’Bone Man in Walford.”

Rag’s episode of EastEnders will air on Friday 23 December on BBC One and iPlayer.

Meanwhile, the BBC long-running soap also confirmed that Patsy Kensit will join the cast to play Emma Harding, mother to Lola Pearce.

The actor, who has also starred in soaps Emmerdale and Holby, will take on a short stint in the role as mother to Danielle Harold’s character.

Emma Harding left Lola and her father behind when Lola was just three-years-old, and the character has never before been seen. Fans will be excited to learn the reasoning behind her explosive arrival on Albert Square, and they will be keen to find out how Lola responds as she is forced to confront a face from her past, especially when her own future is so uncertain.

Patsy, who has previously been nominated for both a British Soap Award and a National Television Award said in a statement: “I’m so excited to be visiting Walford for this storyline. It has always been a dream of mine to appear in EastEnders. The cast, producers, writers and crew have been wonderful, and I’ve had a ball. Thank you so much for having me.”

Patsy has already started filming and will appear in EastEnders in January 2023. We’re looking forward to her arrival!

Rag'n'Bone Man's cameo will air on EastEnders on Friday 23rd December on BBC One.
