Will Poulter's Adam Warlock suit in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sends fans wild

Marvel enthusiasts have lost the plot as a teaser picture of Will Poulter in the Adam Warlock superhero-villain suit has dropped — and so have jaws in anticipation for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Fans are preparing to welcome a whole host of heroes and villains, while Warlock is gearing up to make his first full appearance as the character who is 'definitely not a good guy’.

Empire Magazine dropped the image of Warlock in full superhero-rebel regalia complete with golden skin and slicked-back blonde hair.

Director James Gunn said about the newest recruit to Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: "He’s definitely not a good guy. What we’re seeing is the infant form of Warlock, newly out of the cocoon, and he does not understand life very well. He’s basically a baby."

Gunn continued: "People online were saying, 'Oh, Tom Cruise should be Adam Warlock'.

"I wanted somebody who was youthful, and I wanted the person who had the dramatic chops and the comedic chops, not only for this movie but for what Marvel will use Adam Warlock for in the future.

"He could become this really important character."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to hit cinemas on 5 May 2023.
