A Great British Bake Off 2022 alum will be bringing some delicious recipes to daytimes on ITV.

Sandro Farmhouse, who was a finalist in the tent last year, will join Lorraine Kelly on her morning show, Lorraine, for a new cooking series, called Feel Good Baking with Sandro.

From 1st February for four weeks, Sandro will share his feel-good recipes, tips for the perfect bake and how to make baking a moment of mindfulness and reflection.

The GBBO finalist will also be sharing details about his baking journey - from the loss of his father to cooking with his mother as solace.

Since leaving the famous tent in November, Sandro has gone on to create delicious bakes for stars including Stormzy and Little Mix, and has also used his platform to raise awareness for the autistic community.

Speaking in a statement, Sandro said of the exciting new series: “Lorraine was such a big supporter when I was on The Great British Bake Off and she has championed me ever since. I am really excited to be back, sharing some of my favourite, quick and easy recipes for you all to make at home. I can't wait!”

Editor of Lorraine, Victoria Kennedy, added: “Sandro’s feel-good energy and eye-catching bakes will definitely give our viewers something to look forward to each week on Lorraine this February. Sandro is an amazing addition to the show and I hope that his new series will not only inspire viewers to get baking, but also feel good whilst doing so.”

Sandro recently opened up about how he turned to baking following the death of his father

Before his Great British Bake Off series began, Sandro had shared that his dad had sadly passed away when he was 21, and while on Lorraine in November, he explained how he turned to baking to help deal with the loss.

Sandro shared: “I used to always bake with my mum when I was younger. I was that kid who always wanted to lick the spoon, of course, and I guess the passion grew from there.

“She used to make simple sort of cakes and then I got into cake decorating when my dad passed away.”

Lorraine then asked if baking and “concentrating on something beautiful” helped as a “form of therapy.”

“Yes, it was therapy, and I did it naturally,” Sandro added. “It was the first thing I did when I heard he had passed.

“It became therapy for me and ever since then. It is never going to stop.”

Watch Feel Good Baking with Sandro next month on Lorraine,  weekdays at 9am on ITV1 & ITVX.
