Have you seen Plane yet?

Gerard Butler stars in the action film (be warned, there are spoilers ahead).

The films features the pilot Brodie Torrance (Butler) who is left to his own devices following a plane crash on an island near the Philippines.

Torrance ends up teaming up with an accused murderer, Louis Gaspare (Mike Colter).

Together they have to fight off the attackers in an attempt to escape the island.

The island is overrun by ruthless rebels.

They want to hold them hostage for ransom.

It has now been confirmed that there will be a sequel names after a different mode of transport.

It'll be called Ship.

Mike Colter's character Gaspare remained on the island at the end of the film after helping Torrance escape.

Gaspare is reportedly going to board a cargo ship in a bid to escape the island.

Unfortunately for him, he has boarded a ferry used in a human trafficking ring.

Another team up is required so Gaspare joins the ship's second mate/navigator in to take down the ship's 'corrupt captain'.

He also tries to rescue the people being held captive aboard the boat.

Jean-Francois Richet is returning as an executive producer.

Fans will have to wait and see whether Gerard Butler makes a return.

Plane has received positive reviews so far.

One critic wrote: "Plane does exactly what it says on the boarding pass. Gerard Butler is the king of big dumb action, getting the tone just right for those in search of uncomplicated thrills."
