Gordon Ramsay is coming back to our screens with a second season of his Future Food Stars.

A second series has been commissioned for BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

The new series features Gordon as he continues his search for the country’s most exciting and innovative new food and drink businesses.

He has hand-picked 12 of the UK’s best up-and-coming food and drink entrepreneurs to compete to earn his investment.

If successful, they will win a huge investment in the form of £150,000 of his own cash.

A first look of the new series has been revealed, featuring Hebe, Rachel, Sam and Kris during the challenge in episode one.

The contestants are challenged to create an outdoor banquet to celebrate Scottish heritage and local ingredients for guests which include the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Over the course of 8 weeks, the Future Food Stars will travel all over the country from the Cotswolds to Wales, to Gateshead and Glenapp Castle in Scotland.

Vitally, Gordon is not looking for his next Head Chef, he wants to find someone who he can partner up in business with.

They will take on technical tasks like de-shelling lobster, identifying and harvesting samples of seaweed, and collecting pine needles and cones from 40-foot trees to infuse into Mille Feuille.

One person is sent home each week.

Gordon Ramsay says “My expectations are high for series 2. These guys should have seen the first Future Food Stars series so they should be more prepared for how to impress me. The contenders are great and viewers will pick favourites and will them on to win.”
