An inventive mum has created a track for her kids’ Hot Wheels monster trucks, and not only did she do an amazing job, but she made it for barely any cost!

Charlotte Smith shared photos of her impressive creation on the Facebook group, Family Lowdown Tips & Ideas, and told other group members that the whole thing only set her back £6.

The Sun reports that in the Facebook post, Charlotte said: “Anyone else have one of those kids who want something you just can’t buy?

“My kids were fed up with pushing their monster trucks around the garden and asked for a track after searching the internet.

“Nothing good came up so 24 hours later and £6 spent, this is the outcome. A happy 5 year old and 2 year old hot wheels monster jam track.”

Charlotte explained to The Sun that she made the base with a free pallet and covered it with a piece of old fabric. Once that was done, she screwed down some wood to create ramps, before adding a tube to make a tunnel, and then she put in a couple of bricks to build up the areas. Was all that was in place, she covered over what had been screwed down, used some old garden stones to make the tracks, and an old Christmas tree to create the trees.

The mum said: “I added a lick of paint and was done. It took 24 hours from start to finish.”

If you’re wondering what the £6 was spent on, it was two quid for a bag of sand and £4’s worth of cement from B&Q!

What a superb bit of parenting! And it comes with the added bonus that her lawn won’t get torn up by her kids’ toy trucks anymore, so, everyone’s a winner in this situation!
