Xbox marks the spot when it comes to parenting sometimes. One father has found a way to get his children to do the chores with a tiny bit of screen temptation thrown in for good measure.

The clever parent shared his top tip on the Facebook group Family Lowdown Tips & Ideas page. It reads: "Unload and reload the dishwasher - then take a pic of it.

"Then walk the dog and take a pic of it."

Sounds simple enough, but where's the trick?

He added: "Send me both pictures and I'll tell you where the power cord for your Xbox is. Thanks! Love you, Dad."

Other parents praised his move: "I turned off WiFi for an hour until chores were done last weekend. Worked a treat to get people moving."

Another added: "Now this is fantastic!"

A third applauded: "This is genius!"

Now how do we get that to work with a lazy spouse...
