The most beautiful natural locations in the world have been ranked, and two destinations in the UK have made the cut, alongside spots in Canada, Thailand and New Zealand.

For the travellers among you, who cannot wait to get back to exploring the world next year, new rankings have been released by luxury holiday operator Kuoni that highlight the world’s 15 most beautiful natural locations.

Taking the number one spot on the list is the fairytale-like Peyto Lake in Canada, with its snow-capped mountains and crystal-clear waters.

A close second was Meeru Island in the Maldives, which boasts perfect white sandy beaches and a brilliant blue sea on its shores, complete with leafy palm trees.

If travelling is not really your thing or you’re thinking of doing a ‘stay-cation’ next year, then you’re in luck, because not one but two locations in the UK were also named some of the most beautiful spots in the world.

In third place on the list was the Jurassic Coast, a world heritage site that runs along the coast of Southern England, stretching from Exmouth in East Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset.

The trail is around 96 miles of incredible views and is suitable for both those in need of a peaceful stroll or ramblers who want a bit of a challenge.

The other UK destination making the cut at number seven on the list is Snowdon.

Located in the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park, the mountain is the tallest peak in Wales and the highest point in the British Isles outside of the Scottish Highlands- so you’re sure to get an amazing view.

The walk to the summit isn’t for the faint-hearted though, so make sure you’ve got your walking boots. Or, of course, you could take the special Mountain Railway train up to the top to save yourself some blisters.

Other locations on the top 15 list include Lake Tekapo in New Zealand, Phang Nga Bay in Thailand and the Grand Canyon in America.
