How frustrating is it when you have to scrape the food remnants out of the bottom of a tin and waste time in a tug-of-war with a few baked beans?

Now, one food savvy TikTok-er Mum Life Hacks aka @goldilocks.bears has shared how to avoid the burden by storing your tins UPSIDE DOWN.

Including everything from tinned beans, fruit, rice puddings and spaghetti, the hack has captured the imagination of over 70,000 viewers.

When it's time to open the can, simply open the previously upside-down stored tin as usual and voila. The contents will pour out by itself without the hassle of prodding around for dregs at the bottom.

She wrote alongside the video: "This is your sign to store your tins upside down. No scraping needed."

Users commented: "Genius."

A second added: "Well I never..."

Another foodie agreed: "As a chef we get a huge tins and I've always opened it from the bottom and get the same result. With the hook, it makes sense to have upside down."

However, some users couldn't cope with the concept. One joked: "Ahhh. My OCD wouldn't allow tins to be upside-down."

One user simply commented: "Confused."

The mum replied: "Because time is precious and scraping beans off the bottom of the tin takes far too long."
