Keeping the kids amused over the Easter holidays can be a tall order, but baking can be fun.

Clever creators with a sweet tooth have shared a recipe for Creme Egg brownies, and we're drooling.

Several bakers have shared their recipe, and they all look delicious.

Who doesn't love a brownie, and with creme egg added in it's sure to be a popular treat for all ages.

A gooey chocolate brownie, with sliced up fondant eggs throughout. Yum.

The recipe is below:

Ingredients

  • 200g unsalted butter

  • 200g dark chocolate

  • 100g plain flour

  • 60g cocoa powder

  • 3 large eggs

  • 300g caster sugar

  • Chopped (small) milk and white chocolate

  • Creme Eggs, chopped in half

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 190C/170C Fan/Gas 5, and while that heats line a baking tin.
  2. Melt the butter, and then add the sugar and chocolate.
  3. Stir until melted, then gently beating in the eggs, flour and cocoa powder.
  4. Add the chocolate chunks and stir so evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the mixture into the tin, and bake 15 minutes.
  6. Place the halved Creme Eggs on top of the brownie and pop back in the oven for another 15 minutes.
  7. Make sure they don't burn, as you still want them to have that gooey texture.
  8. Allow to cool before slicing
  9. Enjoy!
