Imagine how amazing it would be to live full-time on a cruise. Well, you will be able to soon. A luxury cruise ship is set to launch that will let people live full-time at sea from 2024.

The first ever residential cruise ship, Storylines, will offer the chance for people to ‘rediscover their deep passion for exploration while still maintaining work/life obligations’ over a 24-month lease on board which people can use as a holiday home or permanent residence.

The MV Narrative boasts 547 residences with 20 all-inclusive restaurants and bars, three swimming pools, a bowling alley, an arcade, and a fitness and spa centre, while sailing everywhere from Rome and Naples, Italy, Santorini, Greece and Croatia, visiting new cities every three to five days.

Got children? Not a problem. There's a youth education programme, World Schooling, which will teach little people from Kindergarten (age five to six) and 12th Grade (age 17 to 18).

Offering one to four bedrooms, with some offering balconies, the Storylines’ press release says they cater for those who’d like to live in a ‘coastal or contemporary interior design style', but living in water-based luxury doesn't come cheap and will set you back between $1 and $8 million (£860,000 and £6 million). Or there are 24-year leases starting $605,000 (£521,000), with all-inclusive fees starting from $61,564 (£52,988) paying for meals on board, housekeeping, Wi-Fi, a laundry service, tips and more.

We're signing up now.
