It’s nearly time to get your festive knits out, as Christmas Jumper Day is just around the corner.
Whether it’s a subtle sparkly nod to Christmas or a full-on garish item of clothing, Christmas Jumper Day encourages people to bring the festive spirit to school or work by wearing their favourite Christmas jumper.
So, when is the special day?
This year, Christmas Jumper Day will land on a Thursday on 8th December.
All you need to do to join in the fun is wear your best festive knit to school, work or at home and this year will mark the tenth Christmas Jumper Day, with the first taking place on 14th December 2012.
There is also a reason we celebrate Christmas Jumper Day other than it being an excuse to wear something different to work.
The annual event is in aid of Save the Children and helps raise money for kids in the UK and around the globe.
Save the Children first began in London in 1919 and helps to provide food, shelter and education to children in need.

All proceeds made from Christmas Jumper Day go towards the charity’s cause and help those living in poverty. This year is a special one too, as the Government has promised to match donations given to Save the Children for the occasion.
For more information on how to raise money, you can visit the Save the Children website.
In other festive news, it has been announced the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck will be returning for a nationwide tour again this year.
Not only will people get the opportunity to pick up a free coke when they visit the truck this year, but every visit will be going towards FareShare- the UK’s biggest charity fighting hunger and food waste.
The company has pledged to donate an equivalent of up to 100,000 meals to those in need throughout the festive season.
Not only is it all for a good cause, but this year’s tour is set to be bigger and better than ever with a magical ‘winter market’ setting featuring fun activities for everyone to get involved with.
