TripAdvisor shares the most popular holiday destination for 2023

Who doesn't love spending hours scrolling looking for holiday of your dreams!

TripAdvisor has announced the winners of their Travellers’ Choice Awards for 2023.

In the top spot is Dubai for the second year in row.

TripAdvisor said: "A favourite with celebs and influencers, the 'City of Gold' continues to attract tourists from all over the world seeking out their very own slice of luxury." 

London was named as the most popular European destination.

The lists are compiled using the reviews and ratings from travellers on TripAdvisor.

The reviews were submitted between November 2021 and October 2022. 

Rome came in second place and Paris was third in the European list.

Lisbon, Madeira and Crete all made it into the top 25 globally.

TripAdvisor also shared trending destinations, best food destinations, best nature destinations, best places for cultures, and best places to ski.

Cuba is the top spot in the trending destinations category.

Meanwhile Hoi An, Vietnam came second, and Mauritius secured third place.

For food, Rome comes first.

Mauritius takes the top spot for nature.
