Niall Horan announces world tour - including UK dates

Niall Horan is hitting the road next year for a huge tour that will take him across the UK and Ireland, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and America.

Named The Show Live On Tour 2024, the run of gigs will kick off in the UK and Ireland. The tour will take place on 21st February 2024 in Belfast, before heading to Dublin on the 23rd. Niall will then play in Birmingham on the 27th. On 1st March, he will perform at London’s OVO Arena Wembley, followed by a show on the 4th in Cardiff, and on on the 5th in Manchester. 

Ahead of his tour next year, the former One Direction star will release his new album, The Show, this summer. Landing on 9th June, it will be his third solo record. Next year’s tour will be named after the LP.

Sharing the news on Twitter, the musician wrote: “I am beyond thrilled to announce The Show Live On Tour 2024 ! It’s been far too long and I can’t wait to see your beautiful faces. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 2 at 10am local. There are still a couple more dates coming so if you don't see a show near you listed, stay tuned.”

Looking forward to the shows, the Irish singer-songwriter said in a statement: “There’s nothing better than watching the crowd sing back to you with all that emotion on their faces and knowing that they’re attaching the song to something meaningful in their own lives.

“To me, that’s always the greatest thing that can ever come from songwriting.”

Niall teased the tour announcement and spoke about playing some festival dates this year when he joined the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with cinch recently. He told Chris: “We’re doing festivals all summer- Transmit in Glasgow, doing things across Europe, Lollapalooza in Paris and going down to Japan. Yeah, and then at some point, we’ll be announcing a tour.”

On performing at festivals, he said: “Not everyone’s there to see me, and that makes me nervous in a good way. When you do your own tour, those people have spent and saved up their well-earned money to come and watch you… the festival is a completely different discipline, it's going to be fun. 

“I'm a big festival goer but I'm very excited to play them. I've never played them!”

He also spoke about the “pretty mad” times with One Direction.
