Lewis Capaldi's second album is heading to number one, and is outstripping every other album in the Top 20 by far.

The new album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, has already sold 68,000 copies.

It could potentially overtake Ed Sheeran’s Subtract as the fastest-selling LP of the year so far.

The album release follows three singles, Forget Me, Pointless, and Wish You The Best.

Fans have been crying over the video for Wish You The Best.

Lewis broke records with his debut album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, and it sold more than a million copies in just over a year.

Someone You Loved is now the most-streamed song in Official Chart history.

He is currently beating Def Leppard and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with Drastic Symphonies in second.

Sleep Token's 'Take Me Back To Eden' is in third as it stands, and Ghost in fourth with Phantomime.

Prog-rockers Yes are at 6, and Paul Simon in 9th for the new entries.

It it predicted The Smiths' compilation The Sound Of The Smiths might return to the chart following the death of bassist Andy Rourke.

Lewis won over even more fans recently with his hard-hitting documentary, How I'm Feeling Now.

McFly recently compared the singer to a modern-day Bon Jovi too.
