Fans reckon we could be in for an Oasis reunion announcement very soon after one eagle-eyed gig attendee spotted a rather suspicious sign.

During Liam Gallagher’s performance at London's O2 Arena on Monday (10th June), the former Oasis bandmate had everyone talking after a fan spotted a “reserved Noel Gallagher” sign in the hospitality box.

X user Simon Lowe wrote: “I’m in a hospitality box at #LiamGallagher and I’ve just seen this on a seat in front of mine.”

Hopeful fans jumped on the potential reunion hint, with one writing: “Mmm the plot thickens,” while others were more sceptical, with another follower added: “You can probably move forward and sit in that seat yourself."

It’s not the first time Liam has included his brother during his latest run of tour gigs. While currently on the road for his Definitely Maybe anniversary tour, the Champagne Supernova singer hinted that Noel was playing “hard to get” while dedicating 1998 track Half the World Away to him.

He teased cryptically (via The Mirror) "But word on the street was he was spotted in a really posh chocolate shop. One of those Thorntons... buying some chocolates, so you never know. D'you know what I mean?".

The Britpop icons originally formed in 1993 and went on to have major success with albums such as (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? and Be Here Now.

While both Noel and Liam have openly discussed reuniting (or rather, not reuniting), it seems the siblings are at a stalemate.

Noel recently admitted that he would consider calling up brother Liam, but on one condition.

During a discussion on the latest Matt Morgan podcast, the High Flying Birds frontman shared his appreciation for the holograms in the ABBA Voyage show, and discussed the potential for trying out a similar technological feat for Oasis one day.

Noel seemed more than up for the idea, adding: “I was very impressed by it to be honest but yeah, if anybody wants to do an Oasis one, give us a shout. I would be bang up for it. I'd say 'great', speak to that guy over there and then come up with a figure and then he'll relay it to me and I'll say either yes or no."

When host Matt suggested that Oasis fans might find them doing virtual performances a bit “hollow”, Noel simply replied: “Well y'know, you never get to see the band so how much do you want it?"
