Tim Burgess has done it again by surprising fans with a generous gift after The Charlatans and New Order were forced to cancel their massive outdoor gig in Wales.
The two bands were set to take to the stage at Alexandra Head in Cardiff Bay last night (22nd August), but extreme weather conditions forced them to cancel on health and safety grounds.
Many fans were left very disappointed, but Tim decided to do something special to soften the blow.

Taking to social media, the 90s music legend said he was “gutted” about the show but would be putting £500 behind the bar at Tiny Rebel in Cardiff so fans could drink for free.
He said: “A chance for those who have travelled to get together. Sorry again.”
Tim went on to add that the drinks would be available from 6pm, and fans would have to show proof of ticket to claim them.
He added: “And tweet me pics and updates.”
If that wasn’t enough, Tiny Rebel then decided to match Tim’s generosity and put an extra £500 behind the bar for fans, so everyone had the chance to drown their sorrows!
Many fans replied to Tim’s tweet, showing pictures of their pints and a very busy bar.
Event organisers of the New Order gig alerted fans to the news via Instagram in an announcement that read: “Unfortunately due to extreme weather including severe winds, tonight’s New Order show has been cancelled on health and safety grounds. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and your refund will be automatically processed.
“We will continue to monitor the weather but are assured that Becky Hill and Tiesto events will remain unaffected,”
New Order also reached out to fans on social media and added: “We are sorry to say that our show tonight in Cardiff is cancelled due to high winds on-site.
“There will be an official statement in due course regarding tickets. We are disappointed to not be performing for you all tonight, but safety of our fans & crew always comes first.”
