Robbie Williams has confirmed his next album is definitely in the works, but shared why there’s been such a hold-up on his chart return.
The singer hasn’t released any new music since his 2019 record The Christmas Present, and brought out his 25th anniversary album, XXV, in 2022, with re-recordings and orchestral covers of his hits over the years.
Robbie is currently on the press tour for his upcoming biopic Better Man, and according to the Angels singer himself, fans eagerly awaiting some fresh tunes from him will have to wait a little bit longer due to the film’s release.

Speaking at a recent screening of Better Man in the US, Robbie told fans (via Music News): "I've got an album coming too, we have been waiting to know when exactly the film is coming out before we put it out."
Better Man is due out in December, but that’s not the only new venture that Robbie is leaning into.
Discussing his major business plans, the Let Me Entertain You artist revealed: "I am building hotels, I want to build a university, I have got my own clothing line coming out, I have got drinks. I am going to be busier than I have ever been."
Robbie’s revelations come just a few short months after he told Virgin Radio about all of his music ambitions, and teased he’s got “loads of songs” already in the bank.
He told Andy Goldstein on air: "I've got loads planned. I've written loads of songs. From a film coming out at the end of this year, I just did the Netflix thing. I finished my tour, doing Hyde Park in the summer. But I've never been busier, never been busier. Never had never been as ambitious as I am right now. I'm full of purpose. And I'm loving life."
When prodded about his upcoming film Better Man, a semi fictional biopic where Williams is allegedly due to play himself and Hollyoaks actor Jonno Davies will play Williams' younger self, Robbie teased: "A lot of big film companies are putting a lot of money into it and you know, lots of American film companies that put in money into marketing it a load of it in the states.
"They're talking award season and all sorts you know so everybody that seen any or anything of it like wow, we've never seen anything like this before so yeah, I think I'm about to get lucky again."
