Festival fans were gutted when Glastonbury was cancelled for the second year running, but now organisers have some fantastic news.

This ought to tide you over.

Emily Eavis announced Live At Worthy Farm, a global livestream for May 22nd,

It will feature livestream sets from Coldplay, Damon Albarn, Haim, Idles, Michael Kiwanuka, Wolf Alice and more will play on stages around the festival site.

Coldplay are the only act to have headlined Glastonbury four times before.

The event will be a five-hour film directed by Grammy-nominated film-maker Paul Dugdale.

It will be shown as an uninterrupted film. Emily Eavis said it will represent “one continuous wild night” at the festival.

Tickets will cost £20 and feature an unlimited capacity. Emily said: “We always try to keep the ticket price down. Some people said, ‘You could charge £60.’ We were like, no. For a while we thought we could do it for free. But actually, we do need to have a ticket price and £20 seems really reasonable for that many acts.”

She added it will “cost a lot of money. I can’t give an exact figure because we’re not even there yet, but I think we’ll be able to make a significant donation to the festival pot and to our charities, so that’s really all that matters.”

The bands have waived their fees for taking part: “We were in the very fortunate position of being approached by a few people offering their support or help if we did something,” said Eavis.

Emily previously announced cautious plans for a family-friendly campsite to be allowed on the famous farm for this summer.
