The glitziest night in the music industry took place last night as the Brit Awards 2021 went down with a bang including a spine-tingling perfomance from Elton John and Olly Alexander, a double win for Dua Lipa, a muted Lewis Capaldi following a 'sweary rant' who addressed everyone 'Hello motherf*****s', a cheeky host Jack Whitehall and a teary Little Mix who made history by bagging the best British Group award. 

Harry Styles confused viewers with a new American accent as he picked up Best British single, while Jack Whitehall made jokes about a pandemic-partying Rita Ora and a 'diary-free' jobless Piers Morgan.

Taylor Swift made her mark by becoming the first and youngest female ever to win the Global Icon award while Coldplay wowed with a special outdoor performance of their new single.

More importantly there was a worthy audience made up of around 2,500 key workers who won ballot tickets to attend the bash.

Dua Lipa told the audience as part of her acceptance speech: "I think what we should do is we should all give a massive, massive round of applause and give Boris a message that we all support a fair pay rise for our frontline."

Amen to that.
