Whilst it’s gutting that Glastonbury Festival isn’t happening this June, it’s exciting that there is still a live event at Worthy Farm that we can enjoy from the comfort of our living rooms. Sure, it won’t be the same as being there, but at least you won’t spend hours trying to find your tent at the end of the night, and you don’t have to queue to use the loo!

The global livestream from Glastonbury takes place next Saturday, May 22nd, with an encore screening on Sunday 23rd. Already announced to play were Coldplay, Damon Albarn, Haim, Idles, Michael Kiwanuka, Wolf Alice, and more names have today been added, with Roisin Murphy and George Ezra joining the party.

The uninterrupted five-hour global livestream event will be filmed across the festival site at landmarks including the Pyramid Field and Stone Circle. It will also feature a unique spoken word narrative, provided by some massive names, including PJ Harvey, Jarvis Cocker, Kae Tempest, George The Poet, Little Amal, Festival founder Michael Eavis, and the Kurupt FM lads.

You’ll need to buy a ticket if you want to enjoy the virtual awesomeness, and funds from sales will support Glastonbury’s three main charitable partners, Oxfam, Greenpeace and WaterAid, as well as helping to secure the Festival’s return in 2022.

The set times have today been revealed. Here they are...

7.00pm: Wolf Alice 7.25pm: Michael Kiwanuka 7.55pm: George Ezra 8.05pm: IDLES 8.30pm: HAIM 9.05pm: Coldplay 9.50pm: Damon Albarn 10.35pm: Jorja Smith 11:05pm: SPECIAL GUEST 11.35pm: Kano 12:00am DJ Honey Dijon ft Róisín Murphy

Hopefully the festival will be back  up and running next year, but for now, this looks like a pretty excellent night in front of the telly.
