The Boss, just lately, seems to be loving the collaborations. He recently joined forces with The Killers for the song Dustland, and he also took part in Tom Morello’s The Atlas Underground Fire album, where he featured on the cover of AC/DC’s Highway to Hell. Now, he’s back with another collab, this time with John Mellencamp.

New Single, Wasted Days, which landed yesterday (29th September), is the first track from US musician Mellencamp’s upcoming LP, which is due to arrive next year.

Along with the release of the new single comes a video, directed and produced by filmmaker Thom Zimny, who has worked with Bruce Springsteen on many occasions in the past. The clip sees Mellencamp and Springsteen together in New Jersey, and was filmed this September.

This might not be the last recorded collaboration between the two artists either. Earlier in the year, The Boss told Sirius XM’s E Street Radio that the pair will collaborate on a few songs.

As reported by Billboard, Bruce said: “I worked on three songs on John’s album and I spent some time in Indiana with him. “

He added: “I love John a lot. He’s a great songwriter and I have become very close [with him] and had a lot of fun with him. I sang a little bit on his record.”

Meanwhile, Bruce is set to release a film of his seminal No Nukes concerts with the E Street Band. Entitled The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts, the film will feature footage of the band’s whole setlist from the Madison Square Garden shows for the first time. The footage will include never-before-released performances.

The aforementioned filmmaker Thom Zimny has edited the original 16mm film with remixed audio. The setlist includes classics such as Born To Run, alongside covers of Buddy Holly’s Rave On, and Maurice Williams’ Stay, which features Jackson Browne, Tom Petty and Rosemary Butler.
