Bowie fans will definitely want to pay a visit to London this winter, as a pop-up store dedicated to the great man is opening up.

The David Bowie Estate has announced plans for two special pop-up experiences to celebrate the late singer's 75th birthday. One of them will be in New York, and the other, excitingly, will be in London!

The London pop-up isn’t just in any old location either. It is situated in Heddon Street, where the iconic cover of Bowie’s album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars was shot.

Meanwhile, the Wooster Street location of the NYC pop-up is next to the neighbourhood where Bowie recorded his final album, Blackstar, before he sadly died aged 69 in 2016 of cancer.

The Thin White Duke would have turned 75 on January 8th, 2022, and to mark the “Bowie 75” celebrations, the two curated experiential pop-up shops will offer music, fashion and art which explore the influence of one of the world’s greatest artists and creative pioneers.

The stores will open on October 25th, and will be there until late January 2022. Inside, fans will find “immersive audio, video and photography experiences featuring David Bowie and his artistry.” There will be Bowie-centric programming throughout the three months that the stores are open.

Also promised is previously unseen behind-the-scenes footage, as well as rare material from the Heathen and Reality eras, and there will be the chance to take photos in iconic costumes and set pieces.

Obviously, the stores will also give fans the opportunity to buy stuff, including exclusive merchandise and limited edited records. There will be “retail drops” throughout the three months.

If you want to pay a visit to the London Bowie pop-up show, then it will be at 14 Heddon St, which is just off Regent Street. We’ll see you there!

The New York store will be situated at 150 Wooster St, in case you are going to be in the Big Apple over the winter. To find out more about these Bowie pop-ups, keep an eye on bowie75.com.
