They've got a Tik-et To Ride. The legendary band's tunes are finally available on the social media site and music lovers have gone mad. Users will be able to create their videos with the choice of 36 of their most popular songs including tracks from Let It Be, Hey Jude, Love Me Do, The Long and Winding Road, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Something, Eleanor Rigby, Day Tripper and Paperback Writer.

The account @TheBeatles is the Fab Four’s official handle on TikTok which also promises to feature exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the Let It Be sessions, a sneak peak into the birth of various songs, plus interviews with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

Two of the remaining icons are already on the platform. McCartney joined last December prior to the release of McCartney III while Starr joined in July to fly the flag for his annual #PeaceandLove birthday marking.

George Harrison’s solo All Things Must Pass album was launched in August in a special 50th Anniversary Edition, while the late John Lennon’s solo magic was launched on TikTok last October to mark his 80th birthday.

In McCartney's new literary offering The Lyrics: 1956 to The Present, published in The Sunday Times, he wrote: "I know that some people, when they get to a certain age, like to go to a diary to recall day-to-day events from the past, but I have no such notebooks.

"What I do have are my songs, hundreds of them, which I've learned serve much the same purpose. The one thing I have always managed to do, whether at home or on the road, is to write new songs. And these songs span my entire life."
