Polish your platform boots and find your Union Jack dress - it seems the Spice Girls could be back on the road very soon.

Mel C spilled the beans about a potential new tour while chatting on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the US.

Speaking to stand-in host Howie Mandel, Mel was asked if another reunion could be in the works - almost three years after their final tour stop in 2019.

“I really hope so. We are talking about it constantly. It was always the plan. We did these amazing stadium shows two years ago. It was the best thing we’ve ever done. The creative was so incredible. We had the best time.”

Mel also added that the iconic pop band had to ‘come back to the US, [because] our fans here are amazing.’

Mel C joined Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Mel B for a reunion tour around the UK and Ireland back in 2019, and there are current rumblings that both Mels are trying to get former member Victoria Beckham back into the fold.

That exciting news comes hot off the heels of their latest release - Spice 25 - a celebration of their debut album being released 25 years ago.

Fans can enjoy remixes and remasters, as well as unreleased demos from their first outing as a band - which became the best-selling album in music history by a girl group.

If any fans are keeping their fingers crossed for new music, they might have to keep crossed as Mel previously discussed the nerves they feel about putting anything new out.

In January, Mel told the Pop Shop Podcast. “Obviously we had such great success, and we have such a great back catalogue. We wouldn’t want to force anything. And we wouldn’t want to do anything that wasn’t good enough, you know?

“So we’ve always said if an opportunity came up and we felt… it was quite organic that it happens, then we would do it. But we kind of don’t wanna force it.”
