Dolly Parton announces new album 'Run, Rose, Run'

Queen Dolly is back with new music!

Who doesn't love Dolly Parton? The country music superstar has announced a long-awaited new album and single.

Impressively, this 'Run, Rose, Run' will be her 48th solo album, and it's due to be released on March 4.

Ahead of the album, Dolly has released the first single to be taken from it, called 'Big Dreams And Faded Jeans'.

In a statement, Parton said: “So many people come to Nashville with their sack of songs,” Parton said in a statement. “Whether they’re running from anything or not, they’re running towards a future. That’s what ‘Big Dreams and Faded Jeans’ is all about.”

'Run, Rose, Run' is made up of 12 new original songs, and it also features some collaborations too.

There's no stopping Dolly, as in addition to the single and album, she has also written a novel alongside James Patterson.

The book shares the same title, and she has also created a limited-edition Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream flavour to promote them all too.

Patterson described the story as: “a new thriller about a young singer/songwriter [Rose] on the rise and on the run…and determined to do whatever it takes to survive!”.

Writing the book inspired Dolly to make the new album, and the record label describes it as: "The album mirrors the story of a young woman who leaves home for Nashville, TN to pursue her music-making dreams and the dark secret from her past that threatens it all,”

"Set to the Country/Americana/Bluegrass sounds that are intrinsically woven into Parton, this album provides an even deeper and more relatable sense of the novel – giving the audience an all-encompassing experience on and off the page.”
