It’s Not Unusual to see Sir Tom Jones on a stage, but now the legendary singer is the first big name announced for a new run of Heritage Live concerts.

The gig will take place in the staggeringly beautiful English Heritage site, Audley End House & Gardens, in Essex on 14th August.

Tom won’t be alone in the glorious Essex countryside though, with special guests yet to be announced.

Audley House & Gardens has been a stunning backdrop for a number of musical acts, including The Human League, The Jacksons, Jess Glynne and Boy George, just to name a few.

Elsewhere, Heritage Live have confirmed acts for different English Heritage sites across the country.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will perform at Kenwood House in London in June, while Rag’n’Bone Man will hit the stage with RAYE at the South of England Showground in West Sussex in July.

Tom Jones is of course an obvious choice for such a prestigious event, having spent 50 years in the music industry, with unforgettable hits such as ‘It’s Not Unusual’, ‘Kiss’ and ‘What’s New Pussycat’.

Back in November Sir Tom sat down with Chris Evans on his Breakfast Show with Sky, and whilst he has been around in music for a long time, he told Chris that he thinks it’s important to stay up to date.

“Music changes, and you’ve got to be aware of it. You can’t really say, ‘It was different when we started and it was better then.’ No, no. It was great, but you’ve got to do now.

“And I’ve always tried to keep my ears and eyes open and not to be closed off and not to get stuck in the past, Because some people do, and I don’t want to. I mean, I really do genuinely like a lot of stuff that’s around to day, and a lot of singers that are around today.”

Tickets to see Sir Tom at Heritage Live will be available on pre-sale on Wednesday 26th January at 9am, and on general sale on Friday 28th January at 9am. He'll take to the stage on 14th August 2022.
