Ed Sheeran has teamed up with Taylor Swift for a new song together

Ed Sheeran and Taylor Sift have a friendship that goes back years, and fans are thrilled that the duo has teamed up again for a song.

Ed let slip the news while being interviewed at the BRIT Awards, after weeks of speculation from fans.

Listeners had been wondering whether Taylor would make an appearance on his song 'The Joker And The Queen'.

Speaking to LADbible, Ed confirmed his next single “comes out on Friday and it’s with Taylor Swift”.

"We’re literally announcing that in like an hour,” Sheeran said, as the internet exploded with excitement.

It turns out that fans were correct, and the duo has worked on an updated version of his track ‘The Joker And The Queen’.

A clip has been shared now, and you can listen to it below:

They last worked together for ‘Run’, which appeared on ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’.

Other duets featured on 2012’s ‘Everything Has Changed‘ and 2017’s ‘End Game‘.

Fans love their friendship, and Ed often shares funny stories of what they've been up to.

He once even admitted he took Taylor to a local pub in his hometown, and nobody recognised who she was.

Ed won the BRIT Award for Songwriter Of The Year.

Keeping fans on their toes as ever, he was joined onstage by Bring Me The Horizon for a heavy reworking of 'Bad Habits'.

Twitter couldn't cope with the unexpected collabs and it was soon trending.

Ed also appeared on social media wearing a hoodie by Oli from BMTH's clothing brand, Drop Dead.
