Even more famous faces will celebrate the life of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins at the upcoming tribute gigs.

A day after Liam Gallagher, Supergrass and Brian May were confirmed to play the London gig, the US rockers have announced the acts set to hit to the stage in Los Angeles.

As announced on the Foo Fighters Twitter, the likes of Miley Cyrus, Joan Jett, Alanis Morissette, Kiss’ Gene Simmons, Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx and Red Hot Chilli Peppers drummer Chad Smith will all hit the stage in September.

The likes of Stewart Copeland, Josh Homme, Brian May, Mark Ronson and Roger Taylor are now confirmed to be playing both the LA and London dates.

The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will take place at London’s Wembley Stadium on 3rd September, while the Kia Forum will host the Los Angeles line-up on 27th September.

Taylor passed away in March aged 50, and on Friday (8th June) the remaining members of the beloved band announced two tribute shows would take place in his memory.

The LA show will have a special appearance by Chevy Metal, while comedian Dave Chappelle is also listed as a guest at the London event.

A follow-up Tweet for the updated concert news reads: “The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will benefit charities in the UK chosen by the Hawkins family. Beneficiaries and further details will be announced shortly.”

On the upcoming gigs, a statement on the Foo Fighters website reads: “As one of the most respected and beloved figures in modern music, Taylor’s monolithic talent and magnetic personality endeared him to millions of fans, peers, friends and fellow musical legends the world over. Millions mourned his untimely passing on March 25, with passionate and sincere tributes coming from fans as well as musicians Taylor idolised.

“The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will unite several of those artists, the Hawkins family and of course his Foo Fighters brothers in celebration of Taylor’s memory and his legacy as a global rock icon—his bandmates and his inspirations playing the songs that he fell in love with, and the ones he brought to life.”

Tickets for both Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts go on sale on Friday (June 17) at 9am. The Wembley Stadium Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert will take place on 3rd September.
