The line-up is filling up fast for the MTV Europe Music Awards in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Lewis Capaldi, Muse and Gorillaz are the first names announced to be performing at the 2022 mTV EMA ceremony, which is set to take place at PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf.
Lewis will make his EMA debut when he hits the stage next month, and will no doubt perform something new from his upcoming album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.
For Gorillaz, they’ll hope to follow up their performance with a win in the Best Alternative category against the likes of Imagine Dragons, Panic! At The Disco and Tame Impala.
Muse are also nominated for an EMA prize for Best Rock, against Foo Fighters, Liam Gallagher and Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
The rockers will all be performing alongside pop stars Bebe Rexha, Ava Max and DJ David Guetta.
Meanwhile, Harry Styles currently has the most nominations for the 2022 ceremony, with seven under his belt for Best Artist, Best Song for As It Was and Best Video.
Taylor Swift is right behind with six nods, including for Best Longform Video for All Too Well.
Adele will do her best to nab the Best Artist gong from Styles as well as Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, ROSALIA and Taylor Swift.
Coldplay and Ed Sheeran are in the running for Best Live alongside Kendrik Lamar, Lady Gaga and The Weeknd.
Speaking of Capaldi and Sheeran, the Someone You Loved singer recently revealed the one lyric he requested to change when it came to putting together his upcoming album.
The Scottish singer-songwriter worked with the Bad Habits hitmaker for his second record, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, which is due out in May 2023.
According to Lewis, the talented duo were on the same page until it came to singing one line in particular mentioned in new ballad, Pointless.
The Someone You Loved artist explained how Ed suggested the lyrics: “She gives me more than everything/I’ll give her my last name.”
On what made him turn down the idea, Lewis told the BBC: “I was like, ‘Ed, this is 2022. No-one has to take anyone’s second name. I’m not singing that!
"I don’t even think that Ed’s own wife has got his last name,” he added.
Taika Waititi and Rita Ora will host the MTV EMAs 2022 on 13th November, which will be available on Paramount+ and Pluto TV globally beginning 14th November.
