The first artists for the 2023 Latitude Festival have been announced, and the MASSIVE news is that Pulp will be one of the headliners. The festival's two other main headliners have also been revealed.

Pulp fans have been excited about a reunion since frontman Jarvis Cocker posted a cryptic teaser on Instagram back in July, with a video soundtracked by cheering and clapping. On the video were the words: “What exactly do you do for an encore?", which are lyrics from the song This Is Hardcore, taken from the 1998 album of the same name.

The artist later confirmed the news at a Q&A for his book, Good Pop, Bad Pop, saying “Next year Pulp are going to play some concerts!”

And now, excitingly, it has been confirmed that Pulp will headline Latitude Festival on Friday 21st July as part of their reformation tour. The Sheffield band last took to the stage together all the way back in 2012.

Latitude, which runs from 20th-23rd July 2023 at Henham Park, has also announced its other two headliners. Along with Pulp, Paolo Nutini and George Ezra will also headline the festival.

And the big names don’t end there, as The Kooks, Metronomy, Paul Heaton, Jacqui Abbott, Black Midi, Lightning Seeds, The Proclaimers, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, and Young Fathers are all lined up to play.

Also on the bill so far are The Beths, The Big Moon and The Dinner Party.

There are still loads of music acts to be revealed before next July, along with plenty of comedy and arts as well. Festival-goers will be able to enjoy an award winning family programme, Aardman model making, The Guest Chef, Theatre of Food, Street Feast, Trailer Park, Wild Swimming, Mind body and Zen; plus their event's legendary late night programme.
