Roger Daltrey has said he hopes that Oasis will one day get back together.

The Who frontman spoke to Yungblud in a joint interview with Rolling Stone and the pair came onto the topic of Liam Gallagher

Daltrey shared some wisdom with Yungblud and advised him to rehydrate himself when he comes off-stage. The musician recalled a gig he did in France on a particularly hot day when he came across the former Oasis singer.

He said: “When temperatures get too hot, you can cook your brain. We did a gig in Paris, and it was [115 degrees] in the audience.

“Liam Gallagher was there at this gig in a tent in Paris, and dear Liam is standing in the audience in a bloody anorak. He’s the coolest dude, I love him to bits. Have you met him?”

Yungblud replied: “I’ve never met him, but I love his band. I like his naughtiness. He’s got his bite.”

Daltrey added: “He’s just got an edge, and I wish [Oasis] would just get back together.

“Liam, though, has really carved out a niche for himself now, and I love him. I think he’s fabulous. He’s totally honest. He’s not frightened of saying how he feels. Very similar to you [Yungblud]. You remind me of him a bit.

Daltrey is set to join the other Gallagher brother, Noel, for a special charity gig organised by Paul Weller in London later this year.

The gig will take place at the Royal Festival Hall on 2nd December and will celebrate the 90th birthday of legendary artist Peter Blake, best known for designing the cover art for The Beatles’ 1967 album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Joining them on the line-up will be other music legends such as Madness, Baxter Dury and Chrissie Hynde.
