Guns ‘N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan appears to confirm the band will play this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

They are one of the bookie’s favourites to headline the festival, but so far, Glastonbury has only confirmed Elton John in their line up for 2023.

Well, it looks like Guns ‘N’ Roses might just be joining them as McKagan has seemingly confirmed it in conversation on Three Chords & The Truth.

The musician was discussing the band’s plans for the summer, which includes a massive gig at BST Hyde Park in London (just a week after Glastonbury). During the conversation, he added: “…and Glastonbury is gonna be iconic”.

Surely that means they will be there!

As previously mentioned, apart from Elton John, no other acts have been confirmed by the festival- however there are rumours that Arctic Monkeys could be joining him if Guns ‘N’ Roses do not.

Also in the bookie’s favourites for Glastonbury headliner is Taylor Swift with odds of 2/1, and just behind her is Harry Styles with odds of 5/1.

Acts usually start to get announced in March, with the complete line-up coming in May so we’ve got a little while to wait.

Elsewhere, there have been hopes that The Spice Girls will reunite for a special performance in the legend’s slot at the festival. Last year, Mel C performed a DJ set and teased she would love to get back together with her bandmates.

Speaking on the Chris Evans Breakfast with Sky last year, she admitted: “There’s nothing that we would love more than to be back on stage as a five-piece.”

She added: “I’d love to go to Glasto…I wouldn’t clean the loos, but I’d maybe clean the bins.”

We would love to see you back on-stage Mel!
