Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival has revealed its 2023 line-up, and it’s a cracker, with Richard Ashcroft, The Courteeners, and Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott set to headline the main stage.
The 15th edition of the three-day event at Hillsborough Park will also see performances from other incredible acts, such as Kaiser Chiefs who are, of course, fronted by Virgin Radio’s own Ricky Wilson. BRIT Award-winning group Sugababes will also perform, as will Manchester favourites Blossoms. Kate Nash, Sea Girls, and indie legends Bloc Party are on the bill as well.
Also amongst the first line-up announcement are Pale Waves, Reverend and The Makers, Beabadoobee, Katy B, Aussie act DMA’s, and special guests The Enemy.
The festival takes place from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd July, with Richard Ashcroft bringing down the curtain on The Sarah Nulty Main Stage on the first night, followed by The Courteeners’ on Saturday, while the Sunday headline slot will be taken by the inimitable Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott.
Whilst the festival will welcome 40,000 music lovers, it’s not just music on offer. There is a full comedy line-up as well, featuring the likes of Hollywood star Omid Djalili, awesome political ranter Jonathan Pie and Liverpool Comedian Of The Year, Paul Smith.
If you head to Tramlines this year, you’ll find five stages of music, comedy and performance, as well as a family friendly area packed with quirky things to do, cracking festival grub, bespoke craft beer and ale, vintage clothes stores, and roaming entertainment.
Be advised though, if you do want to go to Tramlines, there are only a handful of Weekend tickets are left, with over 95 percent sold already. They’ll be back on sale on Friday 3rd February at midday, as will the first batch of day tickets.
