If you missed out on Glastonbury tickets when they went on sale in November, then you’ll be interested to learn that the festival has teamed up with the Trussell Trust to put some tickets up for auction. Not just that, but they come with “once-in-a-lifetime Glastonbury experiences”.

As usual, such was the popularity of tickets when they went on sale, that they were all snapped up in about a nanosecond, but now there’s a chance to not only get your hands on a couple, but to experience something incredible, such as watching a set from the Pyramid Stage viewing platform, introducing an act onto the Cabaret Stage, or pressing the Arcadia spider’s fire button.

The official Glasto website explains that, “for the next week, you can bid on once-in-a-lifetime Glastonbury experiences”. Across the next seven days, you can bid on eBay on ten pairs of tickets and their accompanying experiences. All proceeds (minus auction listing costs) will go to the Trussell Trust, which supports a nationwide network of more than 1,300 food bank centres.

Along with supporting the charity’s network of food banks as they provide emergency food and practical support, money raised from the auction will work towards a future without the need for food banks in the UK.

The Trussell Trust’s website states that an emergency food bank parcel is being given out every 13 seconds, and that more than 14 million people in the UK currently live below the poverty line.

The different auctions started appearing every 30 minutes from 12pm today (6th February). Bids will close at 5pm on 13th February.

If you plan on bidding, then you’d better raid the piggy bank, as the tickets listed at the time of writing already have bids worth thousands of pounds.

Glastonbury Festival returns to Worthy Farm from 21st - 25th June, where music icon Sir Elton John will headline the Pyramid Stage
