Death In Paradise star Josephine Jobert has worried fans after posting a photograph from a hospital bed.

Jobert starred as DS Florence Cassell in the BBC detective drama alongside Kris Marshall and Ralf Little for nine years.

After leaving the series in 2019, she rejoined the cast in 2022 and again in 2024 when Little said goodbye to his character, DI Neville Parker.

However, the actress has now sparked concern with fans after posting a photograph of herself lying in a hospital bed to Instagram stories this week.

In the picture, Josephine could be seen wearing a pulse oximeter, a small device used by doctors and nurses to measure blood oxygen levels.

However, it might not be all as it seems.

Josephine later posted that filming for her next project has now finished. So, the picture of her in a hospital bed could just be a behind-the-scenes look at what she’s up to next.

The actress is said to be nailed down for a guest role in the upcoming French drama OPJ, another police-themed series

Josephine starred in Death in Paradise alongside Ralf Little and the pair left the show together, with their characters realising they were each other’s true love and sailing off into the sunset.

Little recently opened up about his decision to leave the show despite wanting to do it “for 20 more years.”

“This last series was always going to be my last series,” he explained. “I had talks with the BBC and with Red Planet, the production company, and we all agreed.”

He added: “If it was in my heart… like, if it was just a heart decision, I'd have wanted to do it for 20 more years.”
