The most recent season of hit US drama Billions only finished earlier this month, but if you’re already desperate for more episodes, then the good news is you won’t have a massive wait.

Premiering in 2016, the series is already five seasons deep, and tells the story of hedge fund manager Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis), as he accumulates wealth and power in the world of high finance and battles with United States Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti).

Season five saw a massive plot twist (don’t worry, we’re not giving away any spoilers here), which has left fans eager to find out what happens next. Well, it turns out that we’ll be able to see new episodes relatively soon, as Showtime has confirmed that season six will start airing in the US on 23rd January 2022. It is expected to arrive in the UK shortly after that date. In previous seasons, episodes have been shown a couple of days after airing in the US.

In the UK, Billions will be on Sky Atlantic, via Sky Glass, Sky Q, the Sky Go app, and on Now TV.

Whilst it has not been revealed how many episodes will make up season six of the show, it will likely be 12 one-hour instalments, as has been the case thus far.

If you haven’t yet watched Billions, and would like to catch up before the new season lands, then you’ve got quite a journey ahead of you, and many hours of cracking viewing to get your teeth into.

There have been 60 episodes so far, which means 60 hours, so you’d better clear your diary! You can catch up with all five seasons on Sky or Now TV.

If you’re up to date, and want to get a taste of what to expect from season 6, then a trailer dropped almost as soon as season 5 ended (be warned, there are spoilers in the video, so only click 'play' if you are up to speed).

And what does the future hold for Billions? Well, there hasn’t yet been any announcement regarding whether or not there will be a seventh season of the show. So be sure to make the most of the upcoming episodes, in case they are the last ones!
