The most wonderful time of the year is getting closer, and a new festive film is making everyone cry.

There’s nothing better than cosying up on the sofa with a mulled wine and a feel-good film, and a new Netflix movie is giving people plenty of feelings.

Called ‘Love Hard’, fans are calling it the “ultimate festive rom-com” and say the movie has left them crying “happy tears”.

It stars Vampire Diaries’ actress Nina Dobrev as Natalie Bauer, a columnist based in Los Angeles.

As any good rom-com must have, there’s of course a love story at the core.

It’s an unconventional one that goes off in an unexpected direction with a very modern twist.

Natalie meets Josh, played by Jimmy O. Yang, on a dating app.

Watch the trailer below:

She falls for him – hard- and jumps on a plane to visit her new love more than 3,000 miles away for Christmas.

Unfortunately for Natalie, she arrives after her epic trip to find that she’s been catfished.

It’s a modern dilemma, as Josh isn't who he said he was.

He’s been lying to Natalie and was talking to her using the photos of a man named Tag, played by Darren Barnet.

So far, so complicated.

Feeling guilty for what he did, Josh comes up with a plan to help Natalie meet the ‘real Josh’.

Natalie just has to pretend to be Josh's girlfriend for Christmas to keep his family happy.

Will it work out?

Fans are loving the film, and have raved about it on social media.

One wrote: "Omg fell in love with a Christmas movie after soooo long #LoveHard on Netflix is everything I look forward to in a Xmas movie and I just loved everything about it - from the story to the cast and the beautiful ending. Happy tears."

Another added: "Love hard on Netflix. Yes I cried happy tears."

This person agreed: "Love hard on Netflix was actually v cute, tears were shed."

This fan wrote: "Love Hard on Netflix has me in tears they just had to add Christmas to enhance the tears."

‘Love Hard’ is on Netflix now. Maybe have some tissues to be on the safe side.
