It’s been almost five years since Teen Wolf left our screens for good, but don’t worry TW fans, we now know who will be heading back to Beacon Hills.

The supernatural drama ran from 2011 to 2017 and was loosely based on the 1985 Michael J. Fox film of the same name.

It was originally developed for MTV, and became a major platform for lead Tyler Posey and co-star Dylan O’Brien.

The new Teen Wolf movie was announced back in September, and now we know who will be reprising their roles for the big-screen venture, which is now officially titled Teen Wolf: The Movie.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Tyler will return as werewolf Scott McCall, while Crystal Reed will play Allison Argent once more, despite Allison dying in the third season.

Other names returning include Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate, Orny Adams as Coach Bobby Finstock and Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore.

Noticeably absent from the line up so far is Dylan, who starred as Scott’s best friend Stiles, but fans shouldn’t be too sad just yet, as the publication revealed more names are yet to be released.

The film’s synopsis reads: “In Teen Wolf The Movie, a full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night.

“But only a werewolf like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they've ever faced."

Despite not being announced alongside his co-stars, Dylan had previously expressed real interest in returning as fan-favourite Stiles.

He told Variety back in October 2020: “I would jump at the chance to do any kind of thing. We’ll come back together for something at some point.”

We don’t have a release date for Teen Wolf: The Movie just yet, but sci-fi fans will no doubt be ‘clawing’ for more info soon.
