The man behind the fixing magic has shared sad RS news about the upcoming episode and repair-obsessed fans have been left frustrated.

The much-loved programme has been cut down from 60 minutes to a disappointing half an hour and viewers are less than impressed.

Taking to social media to tell everyone about the shortened episode, Jay wrote: "Good morning all. It’s Wednesday so it must be @therepairshop.tv day. It’s only a short one today but it’s soooo worth it, @bbcone 9.30. #enjoy #therepairshop."

The BBC show has been rescheduled in favour of Match Of The Day which will show Luton Town battling it out against Chelsea for a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals. The live broadcast fronted by Gary Lineker which will run from 7pm has irked Repair Shop fans.

One viewer fumed: "Just hope the football doesn't chuck it out of the schedule."

Another commented: "Can't wait, love Wednesdays! Shame it's only half an hour tho."

A third penned: "Yep, heard the channel have been cropping shows by half which is a shame but half an hour of joy each week better than none. Warm greetings to Sue!"

Others added: "Looking forward to seeing it," and: "Can’t wait, makes my week."

Last week's episode was also shortened for a Panorama special and fans were again left livid.

One viewer wrote: "Agh #TheRepairShop cut in half again @BBCOne stop doing that."

Another commented: "I know. Fuming!"

The Repair Shop airs at 9.30pm tonight.
