The series might have finished, but Martin Compston is still gushing about his Line Of Duty co-stars.
The Scottish actor, who played Steve Arnott in the BBC drama, is currently starring in ITV’s thriller Our House - the finale of which airs tonight.
While promoting the thriller on Lorraine on Thursday (11th March), the star was asked about the potential for a series seven of the beloved Line of Duty.
Martin didn’t say too much, but he did reveal that AC-12 are getting back together for a good cause.
On March 19th, Martin will reunite with co-stars Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar for a one-off Q+A in Glasgow for Ardgowan Hospice.
On the mini-reunion, Martin told Lorraine: “I’m really chuffed with it. Ticket sales have been great and after it, who knows what we’ll talk about, I haven’t spent much time with the guys.
Martin then praised the dynamic between him and the LoD crew and credited them with helping throughout the intense crime series.
He continued: “It’s been over 10 years working together now and especially scenes like that, they’re so intense.
“If they weren’t with people that you trust and love, it would be a tougher job, I’m excited to see them.”
Martin recently popped by the Virgin Radio studios to chat on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky about Our House, and called the drama ‘the most emotionally draining role’ ever.
He told Chris: “The house itself does become somewhat of a character in the book. Good telly does make you anxious, it gets you frustrated and you're just screaming at the characters.
According to Martin, that frustration was not only on screen, but behind the scenes as well.
He continued: “As an actor, it's probably the most emotional, emotionally draining job I've ever done. It took a lot out of me to film it but in a good way, sometimes as an actor, you kind of get warped enjoyment of playing those dark, depressing roles. But yeah, I was glad when it was over.”
The final episode of Our House will air on ITV and ITV Hub tonight at 9pm.
