There will be a new face within the Fast & Furious family for its upcoming tenth film.

Leading man Vin Diesel has confirmed the latest star to join the long-running franchise, his fellow Marvel co-star Brie Larson.

Vin shared the news via his Instagram page, with a smiley snap of the duo laughing together.

In the caption, the action star wrote: “Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to your self “ that’s captain Marvel”. Clearly there is love and laughter in this image.

“What you don’t see however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for.”

In true F&F style, Vin ended his sweet message with: “Welcome to the FAMILY Brie.”

Fast & Furious 10 is scheduled to hit cinemas next year, but the plot details are few and far between at the moment.

Brie will join fellow F&F newbie Jason Momoa, with Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, and Charlize Theron all expected to reprise their roles in the next high-octane movie.

Justin Lin will be back at the helm as director for the car-centric flick, which will be the penultimate movie in the beloved Fast franchise.

Aquaman Jason recently revealed that he’s set to play a ‘very flamboyant bad boy’ in the sequel.

He told ET about his latest darker role which will see him clashing heads with Dominic Toretto's gang: “I'm gonna go do Fast 10, that's gonna be fun... it's fun, I get to play the bad guy, which I haven't gotten to do for a while. Now, I get to be the bad boy. A very flamboyant bad boy.”
