Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Kevin Clifton is swapping sequins for Speedos for 'The Games'.

The new show features 12 celebrities going out of ‘their comfort zone’.

They will be coached and trained in different areas of sport.

The stars will take on the athletics arena, the swimming pool, and the gym.

Hosting the show will be Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff.

They'll be joined by Alex Scott reporting from the sidelines and the legendary Chris Kamara providing commentary.

Kevin previously won the Strictly glitterball trophy with now-girlfriend Stacey Dooley.

He joked that Stacey is finding his part in the show hilarious.

The show is due to start next week.

Kevin said: "She thinks it’s absolutely hilarious that I’m doing this.

"She keeps saying to me, “don’t worry if you come last. It doesn’t matter, it’s just good that you’re doing it.”

"And I’m like “Stacey, I never said I was going to come last.”‘

"She also said “I don’t care where you come in the results, I’m just dead at the part when you’re about to go swimming, and the camera is going to pan past you in your speedos.”

"She finds that whole thing hilarious."

Got to love a supportive partner!

You'd think Kevin was used to performing in front of a crowd, but he still has some nerves.

"I’m so used to thinking “let’s entertain everyone,”‘ he said.

‘It’ll egg me on and I’m worried that my technique will go out the window because I’ll be like “yeah let’s go!”‘

Joining Kevin on the line-up is singer Max George, reality star Olivia Attwood, soap actor Colson Smith and former Love Island star Wes Nelson, songwriter Chelcee Grimes, Harry Potter actor Josh Herdman, influencer Phoenix Brown, model Christine McGuiness, newsreader Lucrezia Millarini, Emmerdale actor Rebecca Sarker and actor Ryan Thomas.
