Former Towie star Mark Wright has nabbed a pretty sweet job — going on a jolly with his dad Mark Snr and younger brother Josh in a new BBC One show A Wright Old Adventure.

The six-part travelogue series coming later this year will see the threesome checking out different UK holiday spots and getting stuck into activities including go-karting in Llandudno, kite-surfing in County Down and downhill biking in the Scottish Highlands.

Mark said: "I’m absolutely buzzing for this. At this stage in my life I want to do things that I really want to do and love. I’m getting to travel the country, see places I would never normally have seen, take on adrenaline experiences and challenge myself. "

Mark continued: "And I’ll do all of this with two of my favourite people on earth — my two best mates, the bro and my dad. It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait. It’s gonna be one hell of a ride."

The reality TV star recently denied a 'ban' from ITV after apparently quitting the Games and said: "Refrained from commenting on this nonsense story for over a week because it's nonsense and there's plenty much more important stories to worry about in the world.

"Because it's constantly being repeated, here's my comment. I'm absolutely not banned from ITV, in fact I'm doing a show for ITV three months from now. The show that 'I quit' hadn't even signed a contract for. I 'called' the producer not text to tell her I'd had a change of heart on the show because I realised I'd had too many other commitments already to make it work."

The new series will air later this year. Buckle up.
