Viewers of Bake Off: The Professionals in bits over 'stressful' show

Bake Off: The Professionals is supposed to leave viewers biting into delicious cakes, not frantically biting their nails off in a panic.

The Great British Bake Off spin-off is back with 12 baking duos competing in the cookery contest, who this week were asked to come up with 36 mini French classic Strawberry Fraisiers.

The fifth series has welcomed new presenters Stacey Solomon and Liam Charles having taking over from Tom Allen and fans are not ok.

Nervous viewers wrote on Twitter: "Glad Bake Off: The Professionals is back. Bring on the stress and beautiful displays."

"I do not understand why people go on Bake Off: The Professionals because they always end up in a calamity," asked one fan.

"God I love it but Bake Off: The Professionals is so tense," penned another.

"Watching the final round of Bake-off: The Professionals is quite stressful," admitted a viewer.

One tense fan commented: "The universe’s most stressful bl***y TV programme ever is BACK, also known as Bake Off: The Professionals. I love this show but I feel so incredibly tense watching it. Melting chocolate! Collapsing showpieces! Sugar work that won’t stick! Tantrums & tears! It’s got the lot."
