That '90s Show is getting the retro treatment with a brand new series poster shared by Netflix.
The streaming giant posted the new-look image of the That '70s Show spin-off on Twitter, with the tagline: “Times change. Teenages don’t. That '90s Show premieres January 19, only on Netflix.”
The image shows returning cast members/parents-now-grandparents Kitty and Red Forman (Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith) alongside the new teens set to cause havoc during their summer in Point Place, Wisconsin.
Set in 1995, the comeback series will be based on Eric and Donna's daughter Leia, played by Callie Haverda, as she spends the summer with her grandparents.
The synopsis reads: "It’s 1995 and Leia Forman is desperate for some adventure in her life or at least a best friend who isn’t her dad. When she arrives in Point Place to visit her grandparents, Red and Kitty, Leia finds what she’s looking for right next door when she meets the dynamic and rebellious Gwen (Ashley Aufderheide).
“With the help of Gwen’s friends, including her lovable brother Nate (Maxwell Acee Donovan), his smart, laser-focused girlfriend Nikki (Sam Morelos), the sarcastic and insightful Ozzie (Reyn Doi), and the charming Jay (Mace Coronel), Leia realises adventure could happen there just like it did for her parents all those years ago.
“Excited to reinvent herself, she convinces her parents to let her stay for the summer. With a basement full of teens again, Kitty is happy the Forman house is now a home for a new generation and Red is, well...Red.”
Missing from the poster, and recently released trailer, are original cast members Topher Grace (Eric), Mila Kunis (Jackie), Ashton Kutcher (Michael), Laura Prepon (Donna) and Wilmer Valderrama (Fez), but they are set to make some guest appearances in the new show.
Not only are cast members returning to where it all began, but so are the creatures Bonnie and Terry Turner, and this time, they’re working alongside their daughter, Lindsey Turner.
That ‘70s Show ran from 1998 until 2006 and was nominated for 16 Emmy Awards across its eight-year run.
That ‘90s Show will land on Netflix on 19th January.
